Avis - Pathetic effort to find lost item
We picked up a car at Avis SEATAC June 30. Returned it July 7. After we'd checked in for our flight I realized I'd left a jacket on the floor of the front passenger seat. We called Avis ASAP and they said the car had already gone out. They contacted the new renter and he said said there was no jacket in the car.
Obviously, the jacket was taken by whoever cleaned the car or the person who checked us in, but Avis made no effort to follow-up with those people. They claim they have cameras "watching" the cleaners, but how else can they explain that something left in a car could disappear so quickly? Avis tracking #55588, RA#300067261.
