Where the customer is treated like a criminal...

It is a few weeks later after I have returned the car and during a complete lack of connectivity (middle of African bush) that I got the invoice for a scratched wheel. I had an automatic reply that I am off the network and unavailable and will reply after my return 3 months later. A month or so later, reminder with the same, automatic reply from me. Both automatic replies were received by Sixt (receipts). One more month and here comes a threatening and bullying email from Sixt with penalties for late payment and menace of legal action (which is of course pure b.s. because email deliveries are not legally bounding - need registered letter for this). Well, this shows how Sixt (or at least Sixt Germany) treats its customers. In full denial of their corporate values proudly displayed on their Web site.  To be avoided at any cost.

The pickup (Rotterdam) and return (Amsterdam) were smooth.
